Much in the same way images consist of colors and quantifiable aspects (shapes, subjects, etc.), sonic tapestries possess basises of material correlation, however more obscure and interpretive. When one observes a painting, the colors utilized are often initially detected at the same time the subjects are defined - brighter colors are upheld and given more frontal attention for which these observations are made. After some duration the scope of the material is understood and subsequently appreciated or disregarded - the same is true for audio materials, especially music. In the way photos can be artistic or mundane, sound ensapsulations (files, media, broadcasts) range in their contents. An audio file can potentially contain a myriad of different subjects; the human voice, decontextualized frequencies, aural information result of physical consequence (a car crash or explosion for example), etc. ad nauseum. In specific artistic areas of definition, sonics can be articulated and from the layers a dichotomy can be constructed. Take, for example, a conventional death metal band that you aren't familiar with - given you are familiar with other examples of death metal bands and their equipment, you can ascertain various things about them despite not having any presented information beyond their sound. From the characteristics of their guitar sound (a dominant aspect of any metallic ensemble) you may be able to determine the general components of it given that you have a concept of neighboring examples. This establishes the framework for what is the purpose of this document, which is to assert that combinations of equipment facilitate the appearances of characteristics somewhat unique to them.
