The ideal goal (with the patchbays) is to interconnect EVERYTHING - not most things, everything. At the moment of writing (August 2024), most things are connected, but various things, due possibly to intuitiveness like the terminal points of a chain to, say, the focusrite (master PC audio recording interface), or to RCA video termination points like monitoring (Startech Video Game Jockey > VGA Matrix > Specified Monitor) and recording (Hauppauge PVR), aren't. The necessary and seemingly redundant conversions prove to be too tedious or involved and hence is why there's still cable runs, oftentimes from the patchbay itself to whatever unintegrated destination. So this is why the 'Patchbays' page has addendums to external devices apart from itself; while the page should focus solely on the boundaries of its description, it's more sensical to include these supplementary bits to increase the comprehensibility and unify the diagrammatic presentation
